The Organic Rite: a wax projection installation
This installation is centered around ritualistic patterns in both the domestic setting as well as in the organic femme universe. This show was a culmination of a years work.
My desire for this show was to create a full environment. A space that feels like another world. I felt like this was important since I started noticing that my work all correlates, both texture, and color wise. All my pieces seem to feel like they were from the same pastel biomorphic surreal place. I added to this by putting colored gels on the lights to make the room's atmosphere correlate with the colors in the pieces.
The sculptures were accompanied by a projection of my film, Glass Sieve.
